Chords

Triads:

  • major: R, M3, P5
  • minor: R, m3, P5
  • Aug: R, M3, Aug5
  • Dim: R, m3, Dim5
  • Sus2: R, M2, P5 (M2 replaces M3)

Tetrads:

  • 7: R, M3, P5, b7
  • MA7: R, M3, P5, M7
  • m7: R, m3, P5, b7
  • m7(b5): R, m3, b5, m7
  • dim7: R, m3, m5, bb7

  • m9: R, m3, P5, m7, 9
  • 9: R, M3, P5, m7, 9
  • add9: R, M3, P5, 9

MA13: R, M3, P5, M7, 9, 11, 13 (you can’t play more than six notes on a guitar. Usually, P5 goes away first, then R)
